This is me:

In short:

I have been an organization development trainer and consultant, a productivity coach, a senior executive at several nonprofits, and a professional singer/songwriter. I now focus on helping managers improve their effectiveness, through facilitating team-based creative problem-solving and designing a culture of innovation.

This is my story:

Story:

My business has a number of influences: growing up in an artistic household, a degree in Secondary Education, being a professional singer/songwriter, being a senior nonprofit executive for more than ten years, teaching immersion English in a foreign country, and living in three different countries (US, UK, Mexico).

Since 2002, the name “The Potential Center™” has been a symbol of my passion for helping organizations and individuals live up to their capability and aspirations, which I have done through training and coaching in leadership, communication, and creative problem-solving. In 2015 I expanded my coaching to include productivity coaching through my second company Mindful Organizing™.

In this chapter of The Potential Center™, my focus is on creative problem-solving and innovation. My mission is to help new (and experienced) managers lead their teams to a kickass culture of innovation, and make creative thinking accessible to anyone.

This is what I am all about

  • Coaching, facilitating, and being a thinking partner. I ask great questions.

  • Curating. There is so much good knowledge and enough tried-and-tested tools out there that we don’t have to re-invent the wheel.

  • Looking for, and giving meaning to, patterns. This helps create frameworks and processes that contribute to increased productivity, and which are easy to understand and follow.

This is my dream customer:

New (and experienced) managers in the sustainability and social benefit sectors, who have a vision. They know there are better, more efficient ways to get things done. They trust and value their team, but they just haven’t found the right methods that will enable them to soar. Their motto is “continuous improvement” and their goal is “astonishing outcomes”. They are open to working with coaches and consultants, and value the opportunity to look at things from a different perspective.
